Dr. George Montgomery is a proud native of Orangeburg, South Carolina. He is a business owner and  Founder of Dream Investment Group, LLC in Maryland. By trade he is a Survey Statistician and Project Manager at the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), a division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). He is the Project Llead for the 2022 Agricultural Census Products Team, leading a team throughout the 12 regional offices and the headquarters office of NASS. Dr. Montgomery has excelled at many different leadership roles at USDA and in his previous position at the United States Census Bureau.  

Prior to joining USDA, Dr. Montgomery professional work experience includes work as a Survey Statistician for the United States Census Bureau; a Progress Monitor working in Special Education at the District of Columbia Public Schools; a public speaker, a mental health counselor, and a decorated soldier with the United States Army. He has proudly served his country for eight years to include a deployment in the Middle East during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom obtaining the rank of Sergeant in the process. 

  • Montgomery received a Bachelor of Arts degree (Psychology) from Hampton University in 2005, a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Virginia State University in 2008, a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University in 2016, and a Doctorate in General Psychology from Capella University in 2019. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Charles Drew Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Chairman of Project ENRICH College Preparatory program, and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. Additionally, Dr. Montgomery has obtained numerous awards and recognition throughout his academic and professional careers.

    Dr. Montgomery is a son, a brother, a loving father of two children, and is engaged to be married in 2025. He considers himself as a principled man focusing on uplifting the community through scholarship and perseverance.
